Gary had his first one man show at the State Capital of Texas at ten years old. He began teaching adult painting classes at age twelve and continued teaching as an adult at the Kansas City Art Institute. With a degree in art, Gary was hired by Hallmark Cards. In record time, he was promoted to Master Artist. His work appeared on all Hallmark products throughout his career. Gary has also illustrated for many major magazines like Sports Illustrated, Atlantic Monthly and many others. His work has received top awards nationally, including the Gold Medal from New York Society of Illustrators. Gary’s artwork can be found in private collections throughout the United States and displayed in public institutions locally.
