Description: Vintage Correct Parts is proud to offer, for your consideration: 1992 Ernie Ball / Music Man "EVH" Eddie Van Halen Signature ModelThe year is 1991 and walking into the local high-end independently owned Guitar shop was like stepping into a dream. Just past the entrance doors was a floating wall with no less that 20 of the new Musicman Van Halen guitars - in every color of the rainbow - they had the standard Red and Amber that we all saw in the MtV videos, but also the more rare gold, black, pink and a few just like this one - Aqua Blue - grabbing one of these off the wall and plugging into the 5150 half stack felt like teenage jet-fuel. Strum the opening chords to Poundcake... hit those harmonics at 4th and 5th fret... and for a fraction of a second, you're Eddie - he gave us the gift of being able to play HIS guitar though HIS amp, and while we can't travel back in time we most certainly can live that dream again though these original and incredible guitars. These are a true classic and are getting harder to find everyday, while the official production numbers remain a mystery, Blue seems to be one of the rarer colors. As we all know, the dyes used in these tops were prone to fading under UV light. This one still retains about 90% of it's original color - a very bright and vibrant Blue - commonly referred to as "Aqua" in the EVH collecting community. This particular example is 100% factory stock, with the exception of a changed volume pot and straplock strap buttons. Incredibly clean for it's age, it has only very minor signs of wear - most notably some light surface marks on the back - which tell a story of a guitar that was played, and probably gigged a bit, but done so with discerning love and care. There are no significant wear marks to the top or neck. The frets are in fantastic shape. The neck on this, as these often are, is full of birdseye and flame maple. Our favorite attribute of this particular EVH is the top - some of these have very bubbly quilted maple, some of them have very symmetrical flame tops - this one has a wild and wavy flame maple top that really reminds you of a heavily flamed 59 Les Paul top - lots of movement and activity when viewed from different angles. A real Stunner! These are absolutely amazing instruments. Ernie Ball made these in small batches and there was impeccable attention to detail with these guitars. This guitar includes it's original hard case - which go for a pretty penny alone - as well as the original warranty sheet, trem springs, allen wrenches, case keys and envelopes. If you're a collector of these fine guitars, you know what the market has done since Eddie's passing. We are offering this for a very reasonable and competitive price - only one available don't miss it! WE SHIP WORLDWIDE
