Description: This is a lot of 5 autographs of the 1990 100 years of Volunteers autographed set. Murray Warmath is the oldest player in the autograph set he started his career in 1932 when Bob Neyland was coaching the Vols. Excellent-NM condition. The newspaper article states that a couple of guys in the early 1990s tried to get as many autographs of this 294 card set as possible they continued trying to get autographs up until 1997 and it states they were able to contact 75 of the 79 players but some players had multiple cards in the set and autographed different cards so I'm not sure exactly how many different autographed cards to complete this set. My best guess is 72. The guys were also able to get their autograph sets licensed. Email me with any questions. The newspaper article may come folded to fit in the box. I've sold multiple of these lots with up to 70 cards in each lot here on eBay and have sent them to eBay for authentication and they passed see the last pic. Plus I've also sold a 70 card lot to another eBay'er that is an expert with Tennessee Vols autographs for many years and he has also verified their authenticity by comparison of his cards. These are the real deal. Selling this small lot of a few of the older players. Multiple lots so the one in the pic may not be the one you receive but all lots are in similar condition.
