Description: 1989/90 Futera Australia Baseball Card Perth Heat Team Set (25) --Ultra Rare! 1989/90 Australia Baseball cards the FIRST Australia Sports Trading Cards set ever produced by Futera. The Baseball cards series were released in the two team set format: Sydney Metros (20 cards) and Perth Heat (25 cards). According to Page 4, "Futera File", The founders of Futera , Tad Powers and David Voit were both US professional baseball players. The two team sets were released in January of 1990, the inaugual season of Australia Baseball League, and majority of these sets were brought back to USA. Despite the fact that some of the sets were offered back to Futera in early 1990s, these 2 team sets have been extremely hard to find in the market ever since its release. How rare these sets are? In the past 20 years of dealing with Australia sports cards, this is the only the third time I have possessed these 2 sets. The last time I have had this set was more than 15 years ago! These sets are even harder to find than those ultra rare signature cards rleased by Futera.
