PRINT: AMERICA'S GRAPHIC DESIGN MAGAZINE. NYC: RC Publications, Inc., 1988. Original edition [Volume 42, Number 3: May/June 1988]. A very good vintage magazine with minor shelf wear including slight rubbing. Interior unmarked and very clean. Out-of-print. Cover design by James McMullen. Cover photo by Jerry Orabona. 9 x 12 perfect-bound magazine with 166 pages of editorial content and advertising. "Print" showcased the best in American Graphic Design. For this goal, the publishers used a wide variety of paper stocks and printing styles for each issue. "Print" in the early 1960s is akin to Herbert Spencer's Typographica, but without the cultural pretensions of the English magazine. "Print" is meat and potatoes compared to "Typographica's" elegant souffles.
