If you see something that looks like your ecu got burnt or is heavily damaged this probably would not work. Even you are not sure, feel free to message me a picture.Replacement capacitors may have a different size and a higher voltage rating than the capacitors you are replacing, this is completely fine. When replacing you just need to make sure you match the UF number and making sure the polarity (+ -) is the same direction as the capacitors you replace. I recommend taking some pictures before removing anything so are aware of where everything goes. Desoldering and soldering will be required for this kit. There are a lot of videos demonstrating how to do this online if you have never soldered before.
