1986 Samantha Pleasant Co RED Christmas Dress American Girl Doll Music Clara LOT

Description: Great bundle lot for Samantha! Includes holiday dress, book, music box, and Clara with nutcracker. Tagged Pleasant Company 1986, this BRIGHT RED dress is the FIRST Samantha Holiday outfit ever released. It looks like it was rarely used. The three Velcro strips on the back appear to be very tight and clean (as if never used). The "loops" on the belt are in good shape, except for slight fraying by the Velcro (must have gotten a little snagged) and one end of the ribbon - please see pics. The lace collar looks beautiful - no issues there. The white ribbed tights are tagged "Made in West Germany for Pleasant Company 1986" and didn't notice any pulls or runs. The white hair ribbon is included as well. The first edition book, "Samantha's Surprise" seems to have never been read. Hanger also included. Very hard to find set! Samantha's Clara doll and nutcracker are in great shape. Her hair looks to have the original ribbon intact. I believe she has the very rare amber eyes. The nutcracker is firmly attached. Her porcelain appears to have no chips, cracks, or crazing, and her coloring is so sweet and subtle. Her outfit is very clean. The music box is also in nice condition. The red cover is still vibrant, and the gold accents shiny and bright...beautiful condition. The front pages contain music and lyrics for "The First Noël," "Oh Little Town of Bethlehem," "Silent Night," "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear," "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," and "While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks." The best part - this music box REALLY WORKS, and plays "Oh Christmas Tree" when wound up. Beautiful set for Samantha!
