This is an original press photo. Frank Langella stars as Leonardo de Vinci, the archetypal "Renaissance man," artist, scientist, and philosopher, in "I, Leonardo: A Journey of the Mind." The hour long special, presented without commercials by IBM, airs Tuesday, April 26, at 8:00 pm (ET) over the CBS Television Network. Narrator of the show is Richard Burton; Walter Cronkite is the host. Based on translations from Leonardo's note-books, it traces his life from his birth in Vinci, Italy until his retirement in Amboise, France. Langella portrays the genius from the peak of his career at age 45 until he is an ailing sexagenarian. Produced for IBM by Vision Associates, the program was written by Chandler Cowles and produced and directed by Lee R. Bobker. Mr. Cowles and Helen Kristt Radin are executive producers of the special, and Nona Bleetstein is associate producer.
