There could also be slightly rough edges, or faint creases around the edges, just from normal handling and wear and tear. They would be very mild if there are any flaws at all, and if you are planning to have the ad framed it shouldn't be visible at all!! I also will only sell historical print ads that look great when framed and would display in my own home too! All paper (unless archival paper) darkens with age due to oxidation which can also cause a very slight musty "old book" smell.
