1982 Fender Stratocaster 1957 Reissue • RARE, EARLY JV COLLECTOR • Fender Japan

Description: This is a very early and rare 1982 Fender Japan/USA 57 Reissue Stratocaster. WEIGHT: 7lbs 5.4ozs (3kg/330g). COLOR: Black Finish. The early Fender Japan Stratocaster 57 JV Reissues were made using all parts (wood and hardware) made in the USA, then shipped to Japan for finishing and distribution. This early 57 reissue based on the pot dates, gray bobbin pickups and pickup codes, serial number, and pencil date located at the butt of the neck. The guitar is 100% original and in pretty good condition, nice black finish. There are dings, dents, buckle rash and scratches, nothing to affect the guitars playability. Pickguard has the normal swirling marks from use. All hardware has a very nice patina. Very low JV serial number of JV01611. All three matching pots are stamped 1378206 denoting the CTS Co. dated on the 6th week of 1982. CRL 3-way switch and orange drop capacitor. Notice the gray bobbin USA made Fender pickups. All three pickups have matching stamps of 172282 denoting they were made on pickup winder #17 on the 22nd week of 1982. Switchcraft USA made jack. Stamped in the neck cavity is 57 and the letter A. The maple neck is in very good condition, nice patina to the tuners. Fender decal is underneath the finish. Few minor marks and small chips here and there but again nothing to affect the neck playability. There is a pencil date of 6-10-82 located at the butt. Neck is very straight, has a 7.25 radius, and a nice C shape profile. There is some fretware, however the vintage style frets still have a good amount of life left. This nice Fender Japan / USA 57 Reissue Strat is considered a collectible and looking for a good home. Instead of a gig bag we decided to give this guitar some justice and include a late 1980s Fender tweed case in good condition. Included with this guitar is the tremolo arm.
