Description: 1981 Sinclair's Auto Miniatures Newsletters Lot As-Is Description Up for sale is a pair of vintage miniature scale replica diecast car newsletters from 1981. These newsletters along with several other catalogs were found in a drawer and were pretty much lying in there for the past unknown number of years (or decades, I should say) and belonged to a family member who is no longer with us; so for all intents and purposes, this listing is part of an ongoing online estate sale of sorts. One of the publications from this Sinclair's Auto Miniatures company is a black & white gate fold type of brochure catalog that has been additionally folded into three sections; which basically transforms it into a standard letter mailer. The newsletter features a few diecast miniature scale car replicas and even a fighter plane as well as a MicroCar; which was a two-passenger vehicle that kind of looks like a motorized rickshaw. This newsletter is in marginally better shape than the other; cosmetically speaking, but may exhibit some signs of wear on it; appearing mostly in the form of spotting and/or yellowing throughout the surface of the pages; which was most likely brought on by overall age and general storage. There is also a small bit of tearing happening right along one of the creased page folds. The other newsletter is a one page/two sided ad for an upcoming catalog entitled The Automobile Year Book of Models for the year 1982 and is listed as a mini-auto newsletter. This newsletter is printed in color but unfortunately exhibits signs of damage brought about by a termite infestation; as there are tracts of chewed up paper (with immediately visible material loss) happening along the top and bottom crease folds with some additional wear and tear occurring right along these bends. The newsletter also has what I figure must have been an accompanying business reply mail envelope to it. The flap on this letter appears to be sticking and looks as though it had been ripped up at some point or another (as it's not the regular arched arrow type of envelope anymore; rather it's just perfectly ripped apart in the shape of a rectangle). The remaining piece of flap can no longer fold that well anymore. I can't say for sure if this one is also from the year 1981, but it would make sense as it's an ad for an upcoming specific year publication and whatnot. Despite of the wear and tear on both of these newsletters, I figure they still must have some kind of intrinsic value for them; especially among the die cast car collecting community. The wear and tear on the termite chewed publication can even be restored with enough patience and know how.
