This banknote was issued in 1981 through 1984 and is deep green in color on multi colored underprint. It shows Queen Elizabeth facing forward to the right of the front. The back has the same color scheme as the front and displays the image of Sir Isaac Newton right of center facing forward. The back also displays the denomination. The banknote has a watermark showing the bust of Sir Isaac Newton in a continuous vertical row at the left edge of the front. The note is signed by D. H. F. Somerset the Chief Cashier the Bank of England at the time and has the prefix BZ64. This particular note has the serial number 978674 and has a security thread which is vertical and is located right of center. Please carefully review the scans presented as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: 1981-1984. Printer: Bank of England. Size: Measures ~5 5/16" by ~2 5/8". Pick Number: P 377b and is listed in the Banknote Book as B184a. Condition: I would grade this banknote as crisp about uncirculated with all the details being very well preserved. The note has no creases, no folds, no wrinkling, no graffiti, no splits, no soiling, no pinholes, and no tears. The edges are intact as are the corners which are fully squared showing no rounding or bumps. The note has light stains at the right edge when looking at it from the back. These must have occurred when someone with soiled fingers handled the note. This is the reason we grade the note about uncirculated instead of just uncirculated.
