Description: IN JAPANESE AND ENGLISH INCLUDING AN ENGLISH TITLE PAGE, ENGLISH INTRODUCTORY COMMENTS, AND A LIST OF WORKS IN THE BACK IN ENGLISH. All the individual works have English Japanese descriptions mostly but also an English title. Titled and subtitled, Egon Shiele an exhibition selected and introduced by Serge Sabarsky. It was published by the Seibu Museum of Art, Tokyo. It includes 77 plates from Schiele and 13 from Gustav Klimt, including color plates - see listing photos for examples. The catalog is in VERY GOOD CONDITION, with the main wear issue being edge and corner wear on the covers. Very solidly bound, no interior marks, clean pages save for some light age-toning around the page edges. Found in the book was a letter from the Serge Sabarsky Gallery transmitting the book to probably the individual whose estate it was found in (a prolific art collector). Also found was a postcard with a work of Gustav Klimt made in Austria - unused but with a pencil marking on the back, and finally a 1998 Washington Post newspaper article on Egon Schiele. This article was found in the back endpapers and did not leave any stain. These items will be separately stored in a plastic sleeve. B77
