Description: This auction is for the 1978 Batavus factory coil only. This is not for the entire Motorcycle. However, now that you know, I have the rest of the bike. I have discovered this very rare 1978 Batavus Intercycle moped. I will be parting out the entire machine on eBay and if you want to beat the rush, you can email me parts questions, and I would be happy to make a deal with you and set up a buy now auction for the particular part that you need. I have not investigated bike much and I’m sorry I didn’t even get good pictures yet I just wanted to make people aware that one has been discovered. I would even consider selling the complete bike to someone for the right offer and list it in a buy it now auction for them, but it will not be cheap because these cycle parts are very, very rare and difficult to find. It is missing the headlight, but it does appear to have a lot of very valuable hard to find parts, including the gas tank. I am not sure on the condition of the motor yet, but I will see if it’s locked up possibly tomorrow or what kind of compression has provided that is not locked up. I will also be checking things such as the spark, etc. in order to give you a jumpstart on parts fast before anyone else, this is an auction for the coil and a way for us to set up. Buy it now auctions for anything else that you desire. I also have a very good condition 1970s Honda 550 that I will be doing something very similar with even though it is a running and titled bike. I used to own a motorcycle salvage yard and these parts on this bike are extremely hard to locate. But these bikes actually do have a lot of resale value when you can completely restore one. I have seen them going for up to thousands of dollars. I just sold a set of side covers tonight for a rare Honda and that gentleman just increased his resale value on his motorcycle by over $1000 just buying those side covers and completing his project, a bike is worth far less if it is not complete If you do see a part on this moped that you need, I have not done any cleaning of any parts as of yet, so let me know what the part is and I have a lot of very special tricks to make very dirty old parts look like brand new OEM. I can usually, clean up any chrome or aluminum to almost brand new condition as long as the chrome is not pitted. Just because it looks dirty now doesn’t mean I can’t make it look like brand new.
