1974 Vintage Timex Gray Gradient Dial 17J Hand Wound Women’s Dress Watch

Description: Presented here is a 1974 Vintage Timex Gray Gradient Dial 17J Hand Wound Women’s Dress Watch This rare watch from 1974 features an 18 mm chrome plated case that houses an elegant gray gradient / fumé dial with applied non-numeric hour markers. The dial is signed TIMEX – 5101048874. The last two digits indicate the 1974 production year. It is powered by a Timex 17 Jewels mechanical hand wound movement that is running well. The watch is fitted with its original stainless steel integrated bracelet. For a watch that is ~50 years old, it is in remarkable shape. The case has light superficial scratches but there is no loss to the chrome plating. The dial is clean with markers and lettering intact (see separately pictured dial). Crystal does have scratches but allows time to be comfortably read. Crown shows light brassing. Movement winds easy and keeps reasonably good time for a vintage mechanical watch (obviously no quartz accuracy). The watch bracelet has light bends but does not hamper in wearing the watch.I have included several pictures of the watch, case & movement. Please refer to them for condition and details as they are part of the description. All pictures have been taken on the macro setting to show detail. This makes even the slightest imperfections, shadows during photography, and specks of dust appear much more prominent even though they are often not visible without magnification. This working Timex with its gray gradient/fumé dial and 17 Jewel movement is not very common especially in this condition. It will make an admirable addition to any vintage watch collection.
