1974 BATMAN DETECTIVE # 439 SIGNED 3X JOE GIELLA,WALT SIMONSON & STEVE ENGLEHART

Description: DC Comics, Batman Detective Comics # 439 Comic Book (1st Printing) from 1974 COMIC HAND SIGNED BY ARTISTS JOE GIELLIA & WALT SIMONSON AND WRITER STEVE ENGLEHART! (see my other auctions for more signed comics & cards). Comic was hand signed by Walt Simonson & Steve Englehart at the annual Baltimore Comic-Con 2019, and by Joe Giella at the annual Connecticut Comic-Con 2019. It comes with 2 POA's (Proof Of Authenticity). 3 autographs for 1 bid! 100 page super spectacular issue! Sadly Joe Giella passed away in 2023, he will be missed. He is most famous for cleaning up Carmine Infantino's pencils on The Flash & Batman! Comic is in a VF/NM- or better condition. Displays beautifully flaws are a tiny ding lower right front cover & a crease lower left back cover, see pics. This is a truly beautiful unread copy! To eliminate some concerns as to the authenticity of an autographed item, I include in most cases, what I call a POA (Proof Of Authenticity), which usually is a copy of the flyer addressed to me, or my proof of admission to the convention and the page listing the artist as a scheduled guest. While I provide certificates for some items, my experience at early conventions is that, the table selling certificates is far removed from most of the artists. As a result, the signing isn't witnessed by the seller of the certificate, so how can this be guaranteed authentic? Another source of certificates are those printed up by the seller who guarantees authenticity!!! Just a thought not to get hung up on certificates. I have been selling signed items on ebay since December 4, 1998. I haven't had any problems with authenticity in all that time! I personally guarantee that the signature is authentic, and was signed by the creator, witnessed by me. If you prefer a certificate I also provide those upon request.
