Description: Note: Please study the images carefully to determine the condition of this vintage photograph, as it may not be in perfect condition. It may contain wrinkles, cracks, and possibly even tears due to its age and how it was handled before it got to us. A scanner may interpret colors and contrast differently than human eyes will, so it is possible that the actual photograph may be slightly darker or lighter in person. This vintage photograph is offered for sale as a collectible item and conveys no transfer of copyright. 1973 Press Photo Lake Houston pours over to The top of the spillway, heavy rains This is an original press photo. Waters from recent torrential rains pushed Lake Houston more than 2 1/2 feet above the top of the spillway at the lower end of the lake today. Above, more than 71,000 cubic feet of water per second pour over the 3160-feet-long spillway. Dam officials expected the lake to continue rising until at least late today. Water above the level of the spillway at Lake Houston runs off at its own rate, but when the lake level is lower water is released at a rate that will minimize flooding. Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches. Photo is dated 04-18-1973. PHOTO FRONT PHOTO BACK Historic Images Part Number: hcx08885 Sell Smarter with Kyozou.Inventory and Ecommerce Management
