This NBA & ABA HOFer was one of the best big men in the history of the game, equally adept at scoring, rebounding, and shot blocking. Playing primarily for the Chicago Bulls and later the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA, he started his professional career in the ABA with the Kentucky Colonels, with whom he won ROY honors in his freshman season. He would also win an ABA MVP award as well his rookie season and an ABA Championship and ABA Playoffs MVP honors in 1975, before transitioning to the NBA with the Chicago Bulls after the 1976 merger.
