Description: For sale is a great 1971-S Mint State Silver Eisenhower Dollar in the original Mint packaging. Eisenhower Dollars were minted from 1971 to 1978, and the silver coins were only minted up to 1976. This particular Ike Dollar is known as the "Blue Ikes" because they came packaged in a fancy blue envelope, and in the plastic cells next to the coin is a blue plastic disc from the Mint. These coins were sold by the Mint between '71 and '74 as a promotion to spark coin collecting. The coin is in the original Mint packaging, including the envelope and the informational card insert from the Mint. The coin is sealed in the plastic cells right from the Mint. All Blue Ikes are 40% silver. As you can see from the pics these coin is in great shape, and it would easily grade in a high MS grade, which is rare for Blue Ikes because they were not known for being great strikes at the Mint. The coin has all the Mint luster with no major blemishes. The coin does have some minor toning to it that can only be seen under photography lighting. This is very typical for MS Ikes in their original packaging. Even the blue envelope is in very nice shape. I do have multiple coins available in the exact same packaging and condition if you were interested in buying multiples. I always give discounts for multiple purchases and always combine shipping. If you buy only one you will receive the coin in the pics. This is great for anyone looking to start a silver dollar collection, add to their current one, or just invest in more silver! Thanks!
