Description: This is the program for the 1971 NASCAR Grand American Series from Road Atlanta. This is the first NASCAR event run at this track. Program includes history of the track, track diagram, photographs of local scenery and a description of the 1970 Can-Am series run at the event, with a detailed shot of the 2J Chaparral, the grandfather of Downforce. (The 2J would be later outlawed for its habit of sucking up track debris, nuts, bolts, stones, etc, and spewing them out the back end of the car at great velocity. Jim Hall's comment was simply "if you don't like it, pass me".) There are no stock photos in this posting. You will receive exactly what is in the photos.
