A STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL LONGINES ‘CONQUEST’ CIRCA 1969 CAL 431 AUTOMATIC DATE ‘TV SCREEN’ WRIST WATCH IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH ITS ORIGINAL LONGINES SIGNED STAINLESS STEEL BRACELET. THIS WATCH HAS BEEN FULLY SERVICED AT GREAT COST BY MY MASTER WATCHMAKER WHICH INCLUDES FULL DISASSEMBLY, INSPECTION, CLEANING OF PARTS, OILING, REASSEMBLY AND TIMING TO THE BEST OF ITS ABILITY. CASE: This fantastic stainless steel one piece cushion case is in lovely original condition. I would think it has only been lightly worn through the years. The case has no dings that I can see anywhere on it. The case back only shows some very, very light normal wear marks and has NO inscriptions. There are the normal age related scratches and nibbles on it. It is numbered 16716875 to the case back. This good man sized case measures 3.6cms (36mm) by 41mm in length excluding the crown but INCLUDING THE LUGS. DIAL: This absolutely beautiful LONGINES NEAR MINT dial is white and looks fantastic! This is a really lovely dial which is crisp and clear. The dial has polished steel baton numerals. The matching original hour and minute and centre second hand are in excellent condition with lumed tip inserts on the hour and minute hands. The dial is beautifully signed with the wording 'Longines' and it has the Longines trade mark below the wording. The bottom of the dial has the wording 'Conquest Automatic' in black lettering. The plastic crystal is THE ORIGINAL and is in lightly used condition showing some very light micro wear across it. This is an absolutely beautiful looker!!! MOVEMENT: This beautiful and rare watch is powered by a 17 jewel CAL 431 grade automatic FULLY SIGNED Longines movement. The movement is numbered 507***** dating it to 1969. The movement is in excellent condition. This movement has been FULLY serviced by my MASTER watchmaker and has been fully disassembled, inspected, cleaned, oiled reassembled and timed to the best of its ability. The movement winds and sets beautifully and keeps good time as tested over a 24 hour period. The stainless steel crown is FULLY LONGINES signed and shows only extremely light wear. BAND: This is the ORIGINAL LONGINES stainless steel FULLY SIGNED band for this watch. The band is in lightly worn condition. It has been polished by my watchmaker and looks beautiful! The white metal clasp has the Longines insignia on its fold over clasp. I estimate that the band will fit up to a 7 inch wrist with adjustment on the clasp for another 1/2 of an inch bigger.
