Description: "Blue Blocks Behind the Barn" and "Blue Bloods Behind the Barn" are a pair of matching number limited edition prints from the original watercolor paintings by artist Michael Irvine. Each print is from an edition of only 800 prints, and is signed and numbered by the artist. The artist painted these two Ford paintings thirteen years after painting his first Ford 'Barn Find' print "Big Blocks Behind the Barn". These prints are truly beautiful, and are filled with the detail, color and reflections that the artist's work is known for. Each image measures 18" x 23 3/8" and is printed on high-quality acid-free stock measuring 22" x 28". As a full line dealer for this artist, I was fortunate to purchase prints each with the same print number, directly from the artist. They have been stored flat and has never been framed. The prints each come with a signed & numbered Certificate of Authenticity from the artist. In 2006, Michael released "Big Blocks Behind the Barn". The idea for the painting was based on the legendary 'barn find' that automotive enthusiasts and car collectors dream about and some are lucky enough to find. Taking it to the next level, what if you happened upon such a gold mine of muscle cars, but what if you discovered that the cars beyond the buildings were better than those inside? that would be the ultimate barn find. 13 year later, Michael decided to build on this imaginary dream find of cars with "Blue Blocks Behind the Barn". A continuation of the original scene, in this much-anticipated sequel (or maybe prequel since it joins the scene to the left of the first painting), you find more cars powered by Ford's blue engine, including the Boss Mustang, Cougar Eliminator, Cyclone Spoiler, Torino Cobra and more. There's also vintage iron like the 1953 Golden Jubilee Tractor. What makes these paintings even more exciting is that there is now a third, "Blue Bloods Behind the Barn" adding a Shelby Cobra, Sunbeam Tiger, Ford Ranchero, and pickups!
