Description: Selling my 1968 Selmer Mark VI tenor sax. I hate to see it go, but I just haven’t played much tenor sax in recent years and haven’t been able to use it as much as I would like to. This sax is pretty heavily used and does show lots of dings, scratches, lacquer wear and minor denting and well as a few less than perfect solder repairs. The neck is also not original to the horn (though it is from the same era) and has a filled in pickup hole that was done very well. The pads are a mix of newer and older, it does play from top to bottom though not as well as a freshly overhauled horn. I was hoping to eventually overhaul this horn, however I’ve unfortunately been too busy with other projects. Has just had the neck cork along with the palm key pads replaced. One of the pearls was also replaced as the original was chipped. Also missing one of the key guard screws. Due to the condition I have priced it much lower than other Mark VIs, so if you want a cheap Mark VI it doesn’t get much better than this. Comes with a ProTec case and a new Selmer neck plug.
