Description: This 1967 book was put together by Simmons Boardman in cooperation with Railway Age, Railway Locomotives and Cars, and Car and Locomotive Cyclopedia. It lists locomotives by horsepower range and builders as delivered up until the beginning of 1967. No model numbers, just the horsepower ratings and the number of locomotives delivered by the various OEM builders. One of the takeaways from this book is the sheer dominance of EMD up till this time. It really drives home how important EMD was to the dieselization of the railroad industry. Of note, no computers back then so this information was all hand typed. It would be neat to enter it into a real spreadsheet and analyze the data. Book is in excellent condition but I am listing as used. No marks externally or internally. 24 pages which include the front and rear covers. Will send USPS with insurance.
