The plastic top boot clip is held on using the U-shaped retainer that comes in the kit. Pre-existing holes are die-cut in the plastic insert allowing installation of the clips.2) Push the plastic clip into the cut-out area and slide the U-shape retainer over the top boot clip on the opposite side of the plastic insert. 3) Your top boot clip should be securely fastened to the plastic insert. Repeat this process for all 16 clips. Once installation of the top boot clips is complete the clips will remain attached to the boot for multiple on-and-off installations of the top boot. 4) Once the convertible top is in the down position the top boot can attach to the convertible well molding that runs around the convertible well.
