Description: Here we have a parchment on black center floor console that was removed from a 1968 Cougar XR7. It will fit any 1967 or 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7. It will also fit in a standard 67-68 Cougar or any 67-68 Mustang and could be custom installed in one of these models if so desired. It includes the shifter slide dial P-R-N-D-2-1 assembly with a new slide and original wiring harness to connect it to the main under dash wiring harness so you will have most of the pieces necessary to install it in a vehicle that did not have a console previously. The slide light is also included as well as 4 base to floor mounting screws. This console is in excellent restored condition. One of the nicer used consoles you will find. It has been completely taken apart, cleaned, and tested to be in perfect working order. There are no cracks or damage to the pads. The chrome is excellent (see photo). The base had some repairs however they do not show. There are no broken out mounting holes. The chrome radio bezel has had the RH radio shaft mounting cup repaired so you can properly mount any original 67-68 Cougar AM, AM-FM or AM 8-Track player. The rear lamp chrome is excellent and has been fitted with a new lens and two #1816 bulbs. The clock lens is clear and the green time elapsed indicator and knob work properly. The clock has been recently serviced so it does run when energized. The rear ash tray and insert are in place. This console is totally complete including every clip and screw (see pictures). Original consoles in this condition are hard to find.
