Description: REDUCED AND PRICED TO SELL!! This is the creme de la crème of Shelby’s. If you have been looking for an exact replica of the original Shelby Cobra, you finally found one! These do not come on the market often and mine is absolutely show room condition, cosmetically and mechanically. My understanding is this ERA Shelby was actually nut and bolt pieces together and hand built by ERA Factory, not some random kit car owner. This really is as good as it will get in the Cobra world folks. This ERA 427 Roadster is a Shelby Cobra that was ordered new by the first owner in the mid-1980s (YOU CAN EXPORT THIS CAR TO ANY COUNTRY!!!). and was built with an actual 1966 dated 427ci V8 Side-Oiler paired with a four-speed manual gearbox (the real stuff here folks!). There is not a nicer Shelby currently on the market. ERA makes the best of the best Shelby’s and takes the victory at every show. Carroll Shelby himself said it was the only replica that he could not tell the difference from his own. The car is finished in black over matching leather upholstery, and features include four Weber carburetors by Jim Inglese, 15″ Halibrand-style wheels, Spax Performance adjustable front coilovers, a Jaguar independent rear suspension, four-wheel disc brakes with inboard rear discs, dual side-exit exhaust pipes, a roll bar for the driver, Stewart Warner instrumentation, and fixed-back bucket seats with harnesses. Work in preparation for the sale is said to have included adjusting the carburetors, rebuilding the brakes, cleaning the fuel system, and changing the fluids. My Shelby comes with all build records, receipts, a tonneau cover, and Montana title listing it as a 1965 ERA Cobra. My family has owned the car for several years and cherished this truly magnificent Shelby. The car is powered by a side-oiler 427ci V8 equipped with a quartet of Weber 48 IDA carburetors that were initially set up by Inglese Induction. The cylinder heads have reportedly been ported and polished, and additional equipment is said to consist of polished intake trumpets, finned valve covers with Cobra 427 lettering, a high-capacity oil pump, and an aluminum fuel tank. To prep for sale, I had all fluids changed, the fuel system cleaned, and the carburetors adjusted. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a McLeod clutch and scatter shield, a close-ratio four-speed Ford Toploader manual transmission, and a Jaguar rear differential with 3.54:1 gearing. Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery. Selling some toys to complete large boat project. We will miss this car dearly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tlk5sH7A-QQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4-lBRGJoB4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dBylNMG_n0 To build one like this today, you are looking at a 2-3 year wait from ERA and at least a $200-$275k build cost. 310-480-4284.
