1965 Fender Jazz Bass Fretless Rosewood Neck Vintage American USA

Description: 1965 Fender Jazz Bass Fretless Neck This neck is dated "7 MAR 65 A" which dates it to March 1965. The neck is straight and and the truss rod works. It was converted to a fretless and I'm pretty sure the entire fretboard was replaced many years ago, but I don't know the history on it. They did a great job and it's a very high quality Rosewood board. The only area that looks odd is the extra large fretboard dots on the side. It's in excellent playing condition and had no major issues when on the body. The fretboard is clean and the back of the neck has a lot of small dings and wear, but no major issues. The finish on the back is original. The nut is 1.47" wide, the neck measures 0.78" thick at the 1st fret and 0.98" thick at the 12th fret.The headstock was painted red on the front, sides and back for some reason. I had my luthier remove it and it's ready for some new nitro and a decal. I only had him take off the red which left a line on the back where the old finish is. You can probably blend it into the original finish without too much trouble and make it look nice again. There are small nicks around the edges but no cracks, repairs or extra holes.This part was removed from a genuine American made Fender Jazz Bass. The serial number was "L69980" and the neck was dated to March 1965. I may have more parts from this guitar up for sale, so please check my other listings.
