Description: The 164 metal coins in the 1964 Topps Coins baseball set were issued by Topps as inserts in the company's baseball card wax packs of the 3rd, 4th & 5th series of 1964 Topps baseball cards. The set was a 164-metal disc release, each measuring 1-1/2” and divided into two sets of 120 “regular” coins and 44 All-Star players. These tin coins feature full color photos, along with the player's name, team and position. All-Star coin fronts show players against plain red or blue backgrounds. The backs show the coin number the player’s name, personal statistics and a player highlight from his career. These coins are not “mint” in condition. However, we know every collector has his or her standards as to what fits into their collection. We have provided hi-res scans of the coins, but that was done after the coins were already in protective coin flips. Indeed, the plastic screen over the coins protects them but also hinders the scan a bit. If you need more info or different photos, feel free to contact us.
