Description: 1964 SCHWINN TYPHOON BICYCLE FRAME CORVETTE AMERICAN SPEEDSTER VINTAGE 26 S7 64! Click Photos to Enlarge Description Here is an original December 1964 (M4 serial number) Schwinn mens "Typhoon" middleweight cruiser bicycle frame. (The Typhoon, American, Corvette, etc all used the same frame, how cool!) This one has been in VERY long term storage. It is not in bad condiiton for being 58+ years old! I LOVE the fact that this one has original paint! (whats left of it) Would be really cool to use a more common girls bike to build this one up! This one includes the ORIGINAL black paint frame and forks, headbadge, kickstand, and everything shown. It has the kickstand mount in place as well. (these are often broken off) It also has the rear fender mount in place AND the chainguard mount. These are all important details which people sometimes over look until after they do a lot of work on a frame... then its too late. What you see is what you get! If you had a donor bike, you could have this build up in no time! The Typhoon bikes are HOT right now and are getting hard to find! Build an original or make a "rat rod" bike to match your "rat rod" car or truck! Great to add a motor as well and have a real fun head turner! Maybe you have another Typhoon that was repainted and has the parts you could install on here. Repainting is expensive and original paint is always always the best for collecting as well as for future resale! The paint has chips, scratches, etc but is very cool being original! I got this one just like you see it. *DIMENSIONS This bike started life with 26x1 3/4" Schwinn S7 wheels. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18 1/2". The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22". Would look cool as a wall display as well! Sold as is because it is used. (front fender bolt will have to be tapped out of the fork if adding fenders) Be sure to check out all pics and email with any questions regarding condition before you bid.
