Production of pulp has been started at this Kimberly-Clark Corp. plant at Anderson, Calif. Called the Shasta mill, it is a multi million dollar pulp and paper complex that has been under construction for about a year and a half. Paper production is scheduled to begin early next year. In full production, the Shasta mill will have a daily output of 150 tons of bleached kraft pulp and 40 tons of mechanical pulp. The paper mill's capacity is 64,000 tons of coated printing paper a year.
