Description: This rare 1964 Review of Famous Racing Cars card from the "carbking" collection was a promotional item that does not have the weiner stains normally associated with a Marhoefer card. It is in excellent condition with no creases or tears and only very minor wear. It measures roughly 5.25" x 4". The back of this card does an excellent job of describing why this car was unique as part of the Indianapolis 500. Please review the pictures to assist with the condition and content of the card. The Marhoefer Meatpacking Company was founded in 1901 as the Kuhner Packing Company. The Marhoefer family would take over in 1945. Based in Muncie, Indiana, the company would aggressively advertise their sausages and hot dogs in conjunction with the local Indianapolis 500. There are only 10 cards in the 1964 Marhoefer Review of Famous Racing Cars set. They include: 1915 Mercedes, 1921 Frontenac, 1922 Murphy Special, 1925 Duesenberg, 1930 Miller-Hartz, 1940-41 Bowes Seal Fast, 1946 Fageol Twin Coach Special, 1947-49 Blue Crown Special, 1953 Fuel Injection Special, and the 1956 John Zink Special. Please review the other racing items I have listed at the eBay store, The Checkered Past. I will combine shipping and provide a refund on shipping charges for anything over cost. Thanks!
