Description: 1964 1965 1966 Barracuda and 1964 1965 Valiant 273 cu.in. A-Body Motor Mount Rubber Pads Steel Brackets are not included, shown only for fitment example. If you have been looking for a set of motor mount pads or Barracuda and Valiant 273 motor please consider these alternate mounts. 273 mounts have been out of stock from all of the major suppliers for over 2 years now. There are some on EBAY but the price is ridiculous. These mounts are the closest mounts I have found after searching through dozens of mounts looking for something that would work. Here is what I found. 1. The mounting studs are the same diameter as original. They are located in the same location and are offset top to bottom the same as the originals.2. The size of the mounts are within 1/16" in length and wide as the originals. 3. The thickness is approximately 1/8" thicker than the original. I did not notice a difference when I installed them in my own car. 4. The locating nub on the bottom side of the mount is not exactly aligned with the locating hole in the stock steel mounting bracket. (see photos) I am not sure of the purpose of this nub, I assume it was used to make sure the rubber pads were not installed upside down by the factory. 5. I ground down the nub on one of my mounts to make it fit. It fit fine on the other side. Another option would be to drill a bigger hole or "wallow out" the existing hole to allow the pad to sit flush on the mount. Have a look at the photos I have tried to show how these compare with the unobtainable original replacement mounts.This is a reproduction pair of motor mount pads only for Barracuda and Valiants with 273.Could also be used with 318 engine using original 273 brackets. 360 Engines need additional steel bracket modifications. This auction is a for a pair of mounts which will fit left and right side. They will work with the original steel brackets with slight modifications.Check your carb, air cleaner clearance to insure that the 1/8" thickness difference will not be an issue. Buy from a Mopar owner that builds his own cars. I have owned and built A body Mopars for more than 50 years.
