Description: This rare 1963 Review of Famous Racing Cars card from the "carbking" collection was a promotional item that has the weiner stains normally associated with a Marhoefer card. It is in good condition with light creasing. It measures roughly 5.25" x 4". The back of this card does an excellent job of describing why this car was unique as part of the Indianapolis 500. Please review the pictures to assist with the condition and content of the card. The Marhoefer Meatpacking Company was founded in 1901 as the Kuhner Packing Company. The Marhoefer family would take over in 1945. Based in Muncie, Indiana, the company would aggressively advertise their sausages and hot dogs in conjunction with the local Indianapolis 500. There are only 10 cards in the 1963 Marhoefer Review of Famous Racing Cars set. They include: 1911 Marmon, 1913 Peugeot, 1928 Miller, 1937-39 Thorne Engineering, 1939-49 Boyle Special, 1948 Pat Clancy Special, 1949 Novi Mobil, 1952 Cummins Diesel, 1957 Belond Exhaust, 1962 Harvey Aluminum. Please review the other racing items I have listed at the eBay store, The Checkered Past. I will combine shipping and provide a refund on shipping charges for anything over cost. Thanks!
