Description: Hand printed and assembled by Jon and Gypsy Lou Webb, this book is an absolute work of art. Bukowski was 43 when this was published, working the graveyard shift sorting mail at the Los Angeles Terminal Annex and years away from wide recognition. 777 copies were printed, all signed and dated by Bukowski, and contains his amazing early poetry, some of the best of his long career. This particular copy is in good shape. It’s completely intact, solid and bright with a few issues. There is an abrasion to the bottom rear cover resulting in a bit of paper loss, a bit of wear to the spine ends of the dust jacket and a tear to the skeleton page under the tissue guard. Also some faint stains and wear are to be found. There is also a small and neatly penned gift inscription on the signature page. Overall, however, this is a very collectible copy and I think presents better in person. 98 pages, Loujon Press 1963
