Description: This is a 1963 chevy corvair cargo van commonly called a "corvan". It is powered by a flat 6 air-cooled motor in the rear with dual Rochester carbs. It is a fresh rebuild and runs great. All of the original tin has been powder coated, new carbs, plugs, wires, distributor and a chrome alternator conversion with a stainless supertrapp exhaust. I recently installed a rebuilt 4 speed manual transaxle and a new clutch. Last year, I replaced the fuel tank (not fun), fuel lines, and electric fuel pump. At that time, I also replaced the brake lines and master cylinder. The brakes are 4 wheel drum and need attention. They do work and I do drive it but does need some fine tuning. If I were to keep it I would do a front disc brake conversion. I lowered it about 6 inches and installed kyb lowered shocks. The wheels are brand new 17" x 7" U.S. steel wheels with brand new tires. The roof rack is a genuine corvair roof rack off a greenbrier I had and had it powder coated. The interior has a new carpet kit, new seat foam and red vinyl cover. While there are side mirrors it's still difficult to see so I installed 2 camera systems as well as a 10" touch screen stereo and 6 fresh speakers in the cab. The back area is completely finished in carpet and some sweet ceiling work as well as a fridge. A separate stereo with 2 marine speakers are in the side doors that open completely against the body. The rear doors also fold out 180 degrees. It's just a really cool old school ride. Gets tons of looks and fun to drive.
