1962 Topps #53 A.L. HOMERUN LEADERS (HOF) EX+

Description: Here are the incomparable M & M boys of the 1961 New York Yankees! This is an important card not only for the '61 set but also for the history of the game. This great card commemorates the record shattering year of Roger Maris and teammate Mickey Mantle. Maris stroked 61 Homers the year before and the Mick poled 54. The combined total of 115 dingers is still an MLB record. Anyway, about this card: Bright colors inside well centered borders of attractive wood-grain color. A few random printo dots can de seen most noticeably by Gentile's cap and below "York" beneath Mantle. The corners are about EX to EXMT+. The reverse exhibits tiny print dots of "white." I have tried to list any and all major flaws such as tape, tear, writing, creases, trimming, ink, heavy staining, holes, etc. Please refer to the scans for additional information and contact me with any questions.
