Description: The rare 1962 card has visible signs of wear to include staining, some creasing, and wear. It measures roughly 5.25" x 4". Numerous pictures were taken to assist with the condition and content of the card. The Marhoefer Meatpacking Company was founded in 1901 as the Kuhner Packing Company. The Marhoefer family would take over in 1945. Based in Muncie, Indiana, the company would aggressively advertise their sausages and hot dogs in conjunction with the local Indianapolis 500. These cards were produced as part of the packaging for their products. The staining seen in this card is not unusual. This unnumbered card features A.J. Foyt and is one of 16 cards that make a complete 1962 set. Foyt won the 1961, 1964, 1967, and 1977 Indy 500s in a Hall of Fame career that saw numerous wins in every division Foyt competed to include USAC Dirt/Asphalt, NASCAR, and Sports Cars.
