Description: 1961 Fender Showman amp 6G14 A. SN# 00521 with a production of 6 something putting it a mid-year 1961??? With the exception of a handful of replacement caps, the amp head is pretty much as original as they come. The 12" speaker cabinet with tone ring has a replacement JBL K120 from the mid '70s and is in excellent condition. The originality of the tilt back legs is a toss-up. At some point in time, someone either replaced, or added head unit hold down lugs to fit a narrower head. (Bassman??) I replaced the handle on the speaker cabinet with a period correct o.e.m. handle. All channels and all functions on this amp work, however, would benefit with a proper tune up from a qualified tube amp specialist. Original rough blonde tolex/nubtex. Original Oxblood grill coverings. Intact tube chart. Original output transformer #49545. Original Choke #125C1A-0-34. Original Power transformer #67233-606117. Front faceplate and knobs are original and are in extremely good/clean shape. All four power tubes are Sovtec 5881/6L6WGC. All other tubes are Sovtec 7025/12AX7WB. More pictures available if needed.
