Description: This auction is for a photo of Dave Strickler's 1966 Corvette Funny Car "The Old Reliable V" at YORK US30 Dragway . Sponsored by Ammon R. Smith AUTO CO. Prepared By Terry Strickler . Bill Jenkins built the Fuel Injected 427 Chevy motor for this car ,which used a B & M Chrysler Torqueflite Transmission. Although it ran in the 8's ,Dave never liked the way this car handled and took it out of service in 1969. He later destroyed the car,rather than selling it because he didn't someone to get hurt in it.This photo is on 8" x 10" HP Premium Photo Paper made from my original negative . The white strip on the photo will not be in the one sent. Very nice look back into vintage Drag Racing history.
