Description: Neal Adams began his comic career in 1962 drawing the "Ben Casey" comic strip at the Newspaper Enterprise Association. With the goal of becoming a commercial illustrator, Adams later turned to comic books and found work with Warren Publishing. He made his DC Comic debut as a penciler-inker on "It's My Turn to Die" in 1967. During the Silver Age of Comics, Adams was assigned his first superhero covers illustrating Superman in 1967, and later Batman and The Spectre. The supernatural hero Deadman also debuted in 1967, and Adams became DC's primary cover artist into the 1970s. Adams had his first collaboration on Batman with writer Dennis O'Neil in 1969, and the duo revitalized the character and reestablished Batman's dark, brooding nature. Adams and O'Neil later revamped the longstanding DC characters Green Lantern and Green Arrow. Adams is also known for his role as a creator's rights advocate and helped secure a pension and recognition for Superman creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Neal Adams signed this "Batman Batgirl" Detective Comics No. 412 11x17 print in black sharpie. The professional staff of JSA has authenticated this piece and added their official hologram and matching card. (E1442)
