Description: Vintage 1960 Rolex Oyster Precision model 6426. Screw down, crown manual wind, stainless steel case, acrylic crystal. New DeBeers genuine Crocodile watch band with Rolex buckle.(unsure if buckle is authentic) The dial, originally a light cream color, now has a natural patina, what is referred to by Rolex collectors as a "Tropical Dial" . Tropical dials are rare as they do no longer occur and are sought by Rolex collectors and adds to the overall price of the watch. The watch has been frequently serviced over its lifetime according to the watchmaker marks on the inside of the case back, at an average of once every 8 years. Last service (CAO) was performed a couple years ago at the former Rolex service center in San Francisco where the crown tube and crystal were also replaced.
