Description: Vintage 1956 Night Before Christmas children's big book published by Whitman. The red part of Santa's jacket is fuzzy on the cover. Top and bottom edges are scalloped. Rich illustrations, although no credit is given to the artist. The cover shows some light damage and wear on the edges and corners, and a little surface wear. Inside pages are mostly clean with no writing but the back cover shows what looks like blue ink spots. Classic Clement Moore poem, still includes the lines about Santa smoking and shows him with his pipe. A classic. Approx. 9 1/4" x 12 3/4". Originally 15 cents.
