Description: Blue cloth boards with silver lettered spine. Blue spine slightly discoloured for Vol 3 and 4, compared to 1 and 2. This likely due to awkward storage such that Vol 3 and 4 were exposed while 1 and 2 were not. Bindings are tight, boards in very good condition with slight bumping, a nick or two, some faint edge wear where the books contacted the slipcase. Slipcase split on top back edge - seen in photo - no other splits. Each volume has the same, or very similar, ink inscription from what I would guess is husband to wife, inside the front cover - see example in listing photo. No other markings in what appears to be unread volumes. MANY ILLUSTRATIONS THROUGHOUT.
