Description: Mid-Century KPM Berlin Commemorative Bisque Porcelain Plaque, produced for the the 150th anniversary of German Poet Friedrich Schiller in 1955. Disc shape with relief sculptural depiction of the poet in antique style with laurel wreath adorning his head. KPM scepter mark on the reverse side and inscription “1805 - 9 Mai - 1955" and pressed sceptre mark. Dimensions are 3 5/8” (9.3 cm). Lozenge shaped indentation at 12 o’clock position for wall hanging which is original to the design. Excellent condition without damage.
