Nice Transportation Collectible Combo. Several of these old bus passes exist, but it is very hard to find the entire pass book in tact. Not sure too many even exist. Book includes 20 numbered bus passes from the Trenton Transit Company from New Jersey. There was a private bus company that served the Trenton area.The $1 passes were good for a week to ride any time within designated zones or routes. I think maybe the number on the pass indicated the zone. This pass has 280 stamped on it. All 20 passes are present. The top pass fell out while I was photographing (darn it), but it is included. Good little peace of history. You can google Trenton Transit Company & get other neat information on its history and the bus lines that served it. The Nickel Plate Road Safety Rules for the New York, Chicago, St. Louis Railroad Company is also neat. It is marked "Effective Sept. 1, 1954". It has 48 numbered pages. This Railroad began in 1881 and ran until 1964 when merging with other Midwest carriers to form Norfolk and Western Railway which evolved into Norfolk Southern in 1982 after it merged with Southern Railway. They originally had routes in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri and Illinois before initial and later merges. In any case, this is a rare little book and we could not find another from this Rail Road, at least not in good shape. Nice logo on front. Would look great as display with other items.
