St. Louis - Joseph Costello, who figured in the investigation of the missing Greenlease ransom money is in serious condition in City Hospital for a self-inflicted bullet wound in the chest early today. Costello was questioned repeatedly by the FBI and police regarding the ransom money. He was a friend of former Police Lieutenant Louis Shoulders, who is now serving a sentence for perjury in connection with the case.
