The program is from Al Kaline's rookie season. The Tigers roster includes rookie Al Kaline as #25. Pat Mullin was #6 at the time. The program includes a profile of the 18-year-old Kaline, fresh out of high school. The program is from the August 31, 1953, the 2nd game of a double header. The Athletics beat the Tigers 10-4. The Athletics were led by Gus Zernial and Dave Philley, who each had 3 hits. Eddie Robinson had 2 hits and 3 RBI. Bobo Newsome was the A's starter and pitched a complete game for the Win. The Tigers were led by Harvey Kuenn, Walt Dropo and Johnny Pesky who had 2 hits each. Ray Boone, Fred Hatfield, Jim Delsing, Bob Nieman, and Fred Hutchinson had 1 hit each. Ted Gray was the Tigers starter and took the Loss. The condition of this program is EX. The front cover has nice color, with light wear. The back cover also has nice color, with light wear.
