Description: This is a small hardcover illustrated children's book from 1953 called A Child's Friend. The book was written by Robbie Trent and the pictures and illustrations are by Egon Weiniger. This book starts out with a story about a young boy bringing a basket of food to his mother, when he runs into a congregation that says that Jesus is coming. Then a boat arrives on the shore with Jesus and his disciples and Jesus heals the people that were waiting as the little boy watches. All the pages for this book are intact. Along with the large text are colorful illustrations to help explain the story. The inside title page has a few red crayon scribbles on it and the inside back cover also has some red crayon scribbles on it. The outside cover is worn around the edges and corners and the paper on the spine has peeled, but the cover is still attached to the book.
