Description: 1952 Vintage Wire Press Photo.New York .Laurence Olivier, British actor, bends to kiss his wife, Vivien Leigh, in her dressing room in the Ziegfeld theater here tonight as a radio brought to them the news that Miss Leigh had been awarded the Oscar for the top female acting performance of the year in the motion picture "A Streetcar Named Desire." Award was made by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Hollywood. The Oliviers are playing on Broadway in two vehicles, "Anthony and Cleopatra" and "Caesar and Cleopatra." Vivien Leigh, styled as Lady Olivier after 1947, was a British actress. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress twice, for her performances as Scarlett O'Hara in Gone with the Wind and Blanche DuBois in the film version of A Streetcar Named Desire, a role she had also played on stage in London's West End in 1949.
